Sustainability Initiatives

Darkothica is committed to do our part in creating a more sustainable planet. However, we can't do it without your help! It's more important than ever, especially in the retail/e-commerce industry, to be mindful of how our business & customers have an impact on our environment.

DARKOTHICA PRACTICES ECO-FRIENDLY SHIPPING:

• 98% of our packing supplies can be recycled or re-used at your home (please do!). We also recycle our own boxes & packing materials whenever possible. We also do not send promotional materials with orders anymore to reduce waste.
  
• Our box sizes and packaging materials are used as efficiently as possible, you'll never see a small item shipped in a big box alone- that's a big nope! This reduces cost, waste, and space needed during transportation.
• We have decreased the amount of our package pick-up days to twice a week vs. daily. It may take a couple of days to get your order out the door, but we are okay with that considering it reduces gas emissions & use of other resources used in transportation.
• We use ground-shipping on 90% of orders, unless otherwise requested and paid for by the customer of course.

Darkothica is always working towards eco-friendly initiatives. In the future, we plan to have our inventory shipped out from other satellite locations to reduce the distance a package needs to travel - especially to our customers in the West and SW USA.
